I am a retired physicist with a passion for photography and nature in all of its forms. My father was a biologist, and since this was back in the days when a family had a single TV and 6 over the air stations to watch my sister and I spent a lot of time watching nature specials. I simply love observing, studying and learning about the natural world in which we live. From astronomy to subatomic particles and the oddities of quantum mechanics that describe the physical world around us.

Just as much I enjoy being out doors. These days in particular I have become somewhat obsessed with the ecosystems found in the Indiana Dunes National Park where I am a volunteer. My volunteer activities at the park include monitoring conditions on the trails, restoration work and nature photography.
